At this time the university has decided to cancel all campus tours through to May 31st. Campus Day and the Interaction Conference are also cancelled.
The University of Guelph Emergency Management team continues to work with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health to monitor the situation.
Campus Day - Cancelled
Join us Sunday March 29, 2020 from 10:00am - 3:30pm for our Open House! This full-day event includes a number of activities including campus tours, residence and facility drop-in tours, academic information sessions, a resource fair, and the opportunity to speak one-on-one with current students, faculty, and staff.
Interaction Conference - Cancelled
This full-day conference for University-bound grade 10 and 11 students takes place April 22 and April 23, 2020. Students choose to attend the conference one of the two days to explore the University of Guelph community and learn more about our academic disciplines and student services. We offer over 40 interactive sessions to choose from including:
- The Life Aquatic - The Hagen Aqualab
- Psychology, Neuroscience and Drug Addiction
- Views from Above: Using Drones to Study the World Around You
- And many more!
Registration is required ($30 fee per student) and includes lunch.
Program Specific Webinars
Join us throughout April and May for our program specific webinars. Webinars will be hosted by Liaison Officers, upper-year students and professional staff covering a wide variety of topics including program overviews, co-op and experiential learning, details on our admission plan, financial aid and scholarship info and student support services. All webinars will be hosted on the Zoom platform.

Spring Academic Open Houses - offered virtually! Stay tuned for more details
Our Spring Academic Open Houses are for students who have received an offer of admission to the University of Guelph. Each day is specific to a degree program or grouping of programs and consists of program information sessions, sample lectures, and tours of residences, the library, the athletics centre and more! Registration details and a full day schedule will be available soon.
The program-specific days are as follows:
- May 13, 2020: Bachelor of Commerce
- May 14, 2020: Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts and Sciences
- May 19, 2020: Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management, Bachelor of Computing, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences
- May 20, 2020: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Applied Science
Ontario Universities' Fair
The Ontario Universities' Fair will be held in Toronto September 18-20, 2020. Join the University of Guelph and Ontario's 20 other universities at this 3-day event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The OUF gives you an opportunity to speak with representatives about programs, campus life, finances, and anything else that will help you in your decision of choosing a university.
Register for an OUF Passport
Save time and register for your OUF Passport in advance, so you can start looking at university booths as soon as you get to the fair!
- Register online, with your name and email address.
- Confirm your email address.
- You will be sent a personalized OUF Passport with a barcode.
- Bring your Passport to the OUF with you, on your smart phone or as a paper printout.
- If you would like further information from a university at OUF, just scan your Passport at their booth. The university will then be able to contact you directly.

Join us Sunday November 15, 2020 and experience for yourself Canada's #1 university for research dollars! Tour our beautiful campus and meet faculty, staff and students from different areas of Science and Engineering. Campus Tours - Cancelled through May 31st
Campus tours run six days/week, excluding certain days throughout the year. Please check the tour schedule and book your tour!
NEWS: As of May 31, 2019, our campus is tobacco- and smoke-free. We're helping to build a healthy campus for everyone in our community.
March Break Tours - Cancelled
March Break Tours will be offered daily from March 16-20, 2020. Let our University of Guelph Student Ambassadors guide you on a 2-hour campus tour including residences, lecture halls, dining halls, athletic facilities, the library, and more! Meet with a University of Guelph Liaison Officer to have all your questions answered before or after your tour. Tours during the March Break will leave from Peter Clark Hall (basement of the University Centre). Additional parking is available in lot P11 at a flat rate of $5.00. Look for the campus tour signs and our Ambassadors in bright yellow shirts will guide you! (Please note: no 1:30pm tour will be offered on Tuesday March 17th, and no 10:00 am tour will be offered on Wednesday March 18th, 2020).
National Receptions - Cancelled
Out-of-province applicants and admitted students in selected cities across Canada are invited to attend an informal reception to learn more about living and learning at the University of Guelph.
