What attracted you to the University of Guelph?

The beautiful campus, the friendly people and the diverse opportunities in both academics and student life.

What attracted you to your program at U of G?

Originally, I was in Marine and Freshwater Biology, but in first year I took the Biological Concepts of Health (BIOL*1080) and the prof talked about the aging population and the importance of health care. At this point I decided that my interest in the aging population and human health outweighed my interests in aquatic life, so I switched majors.

What is something COOL that you’ve learned from your program/studies so far?

  • Masters – disease trends and distribution
  • Undergrad – how to plan a public program

What has been (or is) your favorite course in your program?

Social Geronotology. I really loved the professor and the course material was both interesting and engaging.

What are you most excited about this year?

Working at the Ontario Universities' Fair and meeting the prospective students there, and on tours! As well as graduating!!

What are your (current) post-graduate plans, or goals?

I think I’m done school for the next little while. After obtaining my Masters I would like to work for a little while, however I am considering doing a PhD in Public health.

Best piece of advice you wish you could have given yourself in Grade 12.

Don’t worry about choosing the perfect program, look at choosing the best university for you. The physical and social environments are equally as important as a great program.

#FunFact About Yourself.

I like to travel and the next places I’m going are Croatia and Greece.
