Top Scholarships

Every year 12 of Canada's best and brightest future leaders are awarded one of U of G's top scholarships! Worth $42,000 each, the following scholarships recognize academic excellence and leadership.

  • The President's Scholarship recognizes students entering with a minimum of 90% admission average who have made significant leadership contributions to their schools and communities.
  • Chancellors' Scholarships are in honour of our current and past University Chancellors. They recognize students entering with a minimum 90% admission average who have made significant leadership contributions to their schools and communities, and have demonstrated an interest in arts and culture, or international relations and development.
  • The Lincoln Alexander Scholarships recognizes students entering with a minimum of 90% admission average who have made significant leadership contributions to their school and/or communities. In addition, students must be Aboriginal; or a person with a disability; or a member of a racial minority.

Scholarships are $8,250 annually for four years, plus one $9,000 stipend for a summer research assistantship position after first year.   • 30 awards worth $20,000 each
  • If you do not receive one of the top scholarships mentioned above, you will be considered for the Academic Leadership Scholarship.
  • Only those students who have applied to the President's, Chancellor's and Lincoln Alexander's Scholarships are eligible.
