Deferral Application deadline extended to August 26
Were you excited to start your studies at U of G this September but are now considering delaying things a bit? Maybe your situation has changed since you received your admission offer and you’d like to take a year to travel or work? Deferring your offer of admission until fall 2023 is possible, but you’ll need to act fast!
With the deferral application deadline extended to August 26, 2022, we want to provide a few things to consider if you’re considering applying for a deferral.
Deferrals Last an Entire Year
When you choose to defer your offer of admission it means that you will be unable to take any courses at the U of G or any other post-secondary institution during that deferral period. If you were hoping to still take a course or two in the fall 2022 semester, studying part-time is a better option for you than deferring your offer.
If you still want to attend the U of G this fall, you can choose to study part-time instead of deferring until next year. Taking fewer than 2.00 credits per semester makes you a part-time student (courses are typically worth 0.50 credits each).
There is no additional application required for studying part-time, you will just select fewer courses during course selection. The best part is you will be able to start experiencing your life as a Gryphon this fall!
We Are Here for You
We are committed to supporting you throughout your journey as a Gryphon. We have many programs and resources that you can take advantage of to talk to other students in the same situation as you.
