Study Commerce at the University of Guelph

Do you see yourself at the top of the corporate ladder? Are your aspirations centered around the world of business, management, marketing, or real estate? If you’re ready to dive in to the world of commerce, make sure your plans include applying to U of G’s Bachelor of Commerce program!

Every student who studies at U of G’s Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics is on a path to develop the needed interpersonal and communication skills for the business world, in addition to business skills in accounting, economics, management and marketing.

You’ll build a base of transferable business skills which you’ll apply in a collaborative learning environment, including working on real-world projects with classmates from other majors.

AACSB accredited – the gold standard for global business schools

Lang’s reputation speaks for itself. Fewer than 6% of the World’s Business Schools are AACSB accredited, a designation that ensures business schools maintain continuous improvement. Lang underwent a rigorous review process conducted by its peers in the business school community, ensuring the resources and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education. In addition to the AACSB accreditation, the Lang BComm program also ranked #2 in Canada for its focus on responsible business education by Corporate Knights in 2020. So, when we say you’re in good hands at Lang, we really mean it!

Find your major, define your career

With nine specialized majors (each offering co-op to those who apply and qualify) and dozens of complimentary minors or certificates  from business and non-business disciplines to choose from, your options to tailor this program to your liking are endless. Not sure which area is right for you? No problem! The Undeclared option may be a great fit if you want to test the waters and aren’t committed to completing a co-op as part of your studies. All students who choose this option will select their major by the end of their first year of study.
