I chose to major in Biomedical Toxicology at the University of Guelph due to its unique blend of chemistry and biology, providing me with an excellent foundation. At the time, I hadn't made up my mind about pursuing a career in medicine or the environmental sector, and this program seemed to strike the right balance. One standout experience from my academic journey was my enrollment in Analytical Chemistry II. This course not only deepened my understanding of analytical chemistry but also gave me hands-on exposure to advanced laboratory equipment that would have otherwise been inaccessible to me. Additionally, Analytical Chemistry II played a pivotal role in opening doors to co-op opportunities at various labs and firms.
