International students come to the University of Guelph from over 100 different countries. Here, they have the opportunity to choose from over 85 majors and more than 50 minors within 12 degree programs. U of G students have access to co-operative education, over 1,000 experiential learning opportunities, study abroad programs, more than 200 student clubs and so much more.

Don't just take our word for it, chat one-on-one with an international student and hear about their U of G experience first-hand.

Follow these 4 steps to chat with a U of G student or staff:


1. Select a U of G Buddy (student ambassador)
2. Select "Create Your Account"
3. Complete your quick profile 
4. Adjust your “communication preferences” under “settings” 
 
Note: Currently, this service only supports undergraduate inquiries from international applicants. If you are interested in our graduate programs (masters and PhD), please visit the Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies website or email gradapps@uoguelph.ca. If you are a domestic applicant, please check out our chat schedule to learn when you can chat with students from your program of interest.

Response Time: Please note that it may take up to 24 hours, to receive a response depending on your U of G Buddy's schedule.


The Unibuddy platform is intended to provide a venue for prospective students to ask University of Guelph student ambassadors questions regarding the University’s student experience or academic programs. Prospective students and other users of this platform should not disclose personal information such as phone numbers, email addresses, or any other personal contact information. Communications between prospective students and student ambassadors should only take place using the Unibuddy platform.
Collection, Use and Retention of Personal Information by University of Guelph
The University will collect personal information provided through the Unibuddy platform as outlined in Unibuddy’s Terms and Conditions. The University will use the collected personal information to manage and enhance our student recruitment services and processes. The University will retain personal data collected through the Unibuddy system for no more than three years.
Questions about the use, disclosure, retention or destruction of personal information collected on the Unibuddy platform should be directed to Leanne Stillman.
