Applied Human Nutrition

Learn about the physical, social and psychological impact of the food we eat in Applied Human Nutrition. Explore healthy lifestyles; the effects of personal circumstances on eating habits; the effect of disease and how poor eating habits contribute to illness. Diverse courses shape the skills you need to work in a variety of settings to address nutrition issues. An Area of Emphasis in Dietetics, which is accredited by Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP), is offered as the first step for those interested in becoming registered dietitians who then compete for a dietetic internship upon graduation.
