What attracted you to the University of Guelph?

I visited Guelph to do a campus tour and fell in love with the beautiful campus, amazing Gryphon pride, and the welcoming community!

What attracted you to your program at U of G?

I’ve always been interested in science and Guelph has a wonderful science program with so many hands-on opportunities in labs!

What is something COOL that you’ve learned from your program/studies so far?

I’ve always thought all bacteria were harmful to humans but turns out they are super important for maintaining our human microbiome!

What has been (or is) your favorite course in your program?

My favourite course in my program so far has been Introduction to Microbiology, where I learned that I really love microscopic organisms, and wanted to learn more about them!

What are you most excited about this year?

I’m really excited to focus in on microbiology and learn more about microorganisms in labs and lectures.

What are your (current) post-graduate plans, or goals?

I haven’t really decided on exactly what career path to take yet, but I am really interested in becoming a teacher!

Best piece of advice you wish you could have given yourself in Grade 12

Don’t stress! I didn’t know what I wanted to do in University, so I just randomly chose a major. I would tell my past self to not stress and that there will be lots of amazing opportunities!
