Find out what comes next after you've submitted your application

Have you applied to a program at U of G for Fall 2021 and now find yourself asking “what’s next?!”

First of all, congratulations on taking the first step towards becoming a Gryphon! This is an exciting (though maybe nerve-wracking) time, and we want you to know that we’re here to support you during this unprecedented admission cycle.

So, what should you do next?

1. Apply for scholarships

Who couldn’t use some extra money to help pay for tuition?! U of G offers hundreds of scholarships to first year students that you may be eligible for! Many of the top scholarships do require an application (and the top scholarship application deadline is January 25th!),  so be sure to check them and all of the other ways to fund your education out now!

2. Check out our Next Steps website

Once you’ve submitted your application, your next steps will all depend on what type of applicant you are (Canadian high school, university transfer, international, etc.) Choose the appropriate link* below and then bookmark that page – you’ll thank us later!

External University/College Transfer Student

* If you’re applying from outside of Canada, your next steps will be unique to you, so be sure to check your U of G email and WebAdvisor accounts regularly!

3. Fill out the Student Profile Form (SPF)

Many students ask us if they can tell us more about themselves – and the answer is YES! We invite every applicant to fill out the SPF by May 1. This is your opportunity to tell us about any awards, extra-curriculars, or exciting accomplishments you’ve earned so far. It’s also where you’ll be able to disclose any challenges or obstacles you’ve faced and their impact on your academic performance.

While you’re free to submit the SPF at any time until May 1, please note that it will only be considered during our final round of admission offers, which will happen in mid-May. It’s also important to note that the form can only be submitted once per applicant, so please be sure it’s complete before clicking “submit”!

4. Read our FAQs

If you’ve got a burning question about the application process, be sure to read through our FAQs, because it’s likely the answers you’re looking for are right there!

5. Save the date: Virtual Campus Day – March 27

Visit us (virtually) for a day jam-packed full of all-things U of G! While we wish we could welcome you to campus for our biggest spring event, we know you’ll still find our Virtual Campus Day event fun and informative. Keep an eye on our Events Page for more details as they are made available.
