Here are some interesting facts about the BEng degree:

Opportunities to Get Involved

At the U of G there are many Engineering specific clubs and organizations where you can meet your peers and participate in various Engineering events. The University of Guelph Robotics Team and Concrete Toboggan are just a couple of the exciting and unique groups on campus.

A Very Supportive Program

Our students’ success is one of our top priorities and the Engineering program takes that very seriously. Some of our learning resources include Engineering Academic Clusters in residence, Engineering Peer Helpers, Supported Learning Groups (SLG's) and guidance from the School of Engineering program counsellors.

Immediate Hands-On Work

By the end of your first year you will already have completed one major design project, and you’ll continue to complete at least one more in each of your remaining years at U of G. You will constantly work on real-life applications for your class learning. One of the favourite Engineering projects from our students is a project where you will design and 3D print a Kinder Surprise egg toy.

Our Grads Do Great Things

Andrew Newton, Andrew Cataford and Prof. Andrew Gadsden are three U of G Engineers who worked with NASA to design a first-ever moonlight tracking device. This project will help improve satellites used to detect large-scale weather patterns and signs of climate change on Earth.

Students Love the Program

University of Guelph BEng students love the many career possibilities that are open to them with their degree. The potential impact Katrina will make in the Healthcare field is just one of the reasons why she chose the BEng degree.
