How to Make the Most of Campus Day!
Posted: Tuesday, March 14, 2017 - 15:42
1. Talk to people in your program of interest.
The Academic Resource Fair is full of people to talk to! Professors and staff are on hand to answer all your questions, and current students will be available to chat with about anything and everything!
2. Visit program facilities and labs.
There are drop-in and guided tours of everything from the studio and performance arts facilities to the Science Complex. Check the schedule to plan your day!
3. Attend a presentation.
Some tours also have presentations afterwards, while some are separate. Academic and Student Services information sessions are offered once or twice during the day and are very popular.
4. Hop on a tour.
There are drop-in tours, residence tours, lab tours, building tours, campus tours… so be sure to bring your walking shoes.
5. Fill your belly.
Have you heard that our students have rated us #1 in Canada for Food Services for 10 consecutive years?! Find out why by enjoying lunch at one of our on campus eateries like Creelman or our roaming food truck, the Gryph’n Grille!
6. Snap a picture.
We’ll be Snapchatting the day at uofgadmssion (follow us!) and you should too! Send us your pics and don’t forget to add one of our filters!
7. Find your future home.
Visit one residence, or visit them all! The choice is yours with drop-in tours guided by current students.
8. Rep UofG
Want to wear your love for UofG on your sleeve (literally)? The Bookstore is offering 15% off all your Guelph swag when you show them your Open House booklet!
9. Take a selfie with a statue from the #StationaryCrew
Get up close and personal with @TheBeggingBear, @OldJeremiah, and @GryphonStatue. They’re all statues with big personalities on Twitter! Oh, and they love taking selfies, so say "cheese"!
