Already been on a campus tour or plan on taking one later in the day? 

Join us for a brief 20 minute welcome and overview of the day before you get underway!

Welcome and Overview of Fall Preview Day + Morning Campus Tour  
(Mitchell Gym)

Join us for a brief 20 minute welcome and overview of the day before heading out on a 1 hour guided campus walking tour.

10:30am - 3:00pm

Student Services and Academic Resource Fair
(Guelph Gryphons Event Centre)

Come meet current students, staff and faculty from ALL our degree programs and get your questions answered!

Student Service representatives will also be available from:

10:30am - 3:30pm

Residence Drop-in Tours
(Various Buildings)

With the help of your campus map and our volunteers, visit our residences!

As you arrive at each residence anytime between 10:30am and 3:30pm, our student volunteers will greet you in the lobby and show you around their residence.

Student volunteers will be available to show you single, double and triple rooms, as well as apartment style rooms.

11:45am  AND  12:30pm

Guided Engineering Complex Tours
(departing from Thornbrough Building Atrium)

Current Engineering students will guide you through the newly renovated Engineering Complex on a 45 minute tour including a showcase of their student space.

11:30am - 1:30pm

Lang Business Building Drop-in
(Macdonald Hall)

Originally built in 1903, Macdonald Hall has been transformed into a state-of-the-art, modern learning complex for our business students. Arrive to the lobby anytime between 11:30am and 1:30pm, and our students will be there to help greet and direct you.

And don't forget to swing by PJ's Atrium to tour our state-of-the-art kitchen and food labs, brought to you by our Hospitality and Tourism Management students, faculty and staff!

Guided Studio Art Tours
(Zavitz Hall)

Enjoy a 1 hour tour of historic Zavitz Hall, home to Guelph's Studio Art major that includes drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, print-making, extended media labs, and first year studio spaces. The brand new Digital Haptic Lab which showcases 3D printing will be included!

Jazz Trio Performance
(Bullring Cafe)

Come listen to our Jazz Trio, all current UofG Music students, perform live in the Bullring Cafe. Stay for 5 minutes or for the full hour!

1:15pm - 2:00pm

Music Meet & Greet
(Rozanski Hall)

Get to know our Music faculty and students during our informal Meet & Greet! Learn more about our Music major, music facilities, and rehearsal and performance opportunities!

1:00pm-1:45pm

Guided Theatre Studies Tour
(Tours depart from MacKinnon Building lobby)

As part of this 45 minute guided tour, visit historic Massey Hall which is home to the Theatre department and see our preparations for the next main stage production!

Attend brief 20 minute information sessions to learn more:

Science Drop-In Tours 
(Various Buildings)

Discover first-hand our science labs and state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities in the:

  • Summerlee Science Complex
  • MacNaughton Building
  • Bovey Greenhouse

As you arrive at these facilities anytime between 11:30am -1:30pm, our volunteers will greet you in the lobby and direct you to the various labs. 

11:00am - 1:00pm

Landscape Architecture Studio Drop-in
(Landscape Architecture Building)

Drop-in and see the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture studio space, and talk with current students about their design projects.

1:00pm AND 2:30pm

Afternoon Guided Campus Walking Tours
(Departing from the Mitchell Gym)

University of Guelph student volunteers will take you on a general, 1 hour walking tour of the campus including the Library, lecture halls, the Athletic Centre, dining facilities and much more!  Wear your comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing, because the best way to enjoy our campus is by experiencing it as our students do on daily basis; walking!

Getting Here

Directions from Toronto
  • Travel on 401 West towards London
  • Take exit 299 toward Brock Road (old Highway 6)
  • Follow Brock road into the City of Guelph as it turns into Gordon Street
  • Follow Gordon Street until you reach Stone Road
  • Just past the corner of Gordon and Stone Road, make a right onto South Ring Road (the main University of Guelph entrance)

From Kitchener/London/Windsor

  • Travel on 401 East towards Toronto
  • Take the Highway 6 exit (Hanlon Expressway)
  • Turn right onto Stone Road, follow this up until you reach Gordon Street
  • Make a left onto Gordon, and immediately turn left onto South Ring Road (the main University of Guelph entrance)

From Hamilton

  • Travel on 403 East towards Toronto
  • Take the Highway 6 North exit (Brock Road)
  • Follow Brock road into the City of Guelph as it turns into Gordon Street
  • Follow Gordon Street until you reach Stone Road
  • Just past the corner of Gordon and Stone Road, make a right onto South Ring Road (the main University of Guelph entrance)
From the North (Highway 6)
  • Follow Highway 6 into the City of Guelph as the road turns into Gordon Street
  • Travel on Gordon Street until you reach College Avenue
  • Pass through the intersection of College Avenue and Gordon (the campus is on your left)
  • Turn left onto South Ring Road (the main University of Guelph entrance)
