Academic Facility Tours and Drop-ins:

Guided Studio Art Tours: Guests will join faculty and current students for a tour of our makerspaces in Zavitz Hall and Alexander Hall. The tour will include our sculpture studio (woodshop, metal shop, 3D printing and atrium), printmaking studio, painting studio, experimental studio (mac lab and digital art), photography studio (mac lab), drawing studios, and Zavitz art gallery.

Please note: This tour is one hour long and may interfere with the start time of the following sessions. Guests are encouraged to schedule themselves accordingly.

  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 2:00 p.m.  3:00 p.m.

Guided Music Tours: Guests will join faculty and current students for a tour of our newly renovated $23 million performing arts centre, known as the Arts Research Centre (ARC). The tour will include our 140-seat arts auditorium (recital hall), music studio, recording studio, multi-purpose teaching spaces, and rehearsal rooms.

  • 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Guided Theatre Studies Tour: Guests will join faculty and current students for a tour of our newly renovated $23 million performing arts centre, known as the Arts Research Centre (ARC). The tour will include our 120-seat performing arts theatre, 100-seat ImprovLab, costume shop, scene shop (woodshop, dye station, and laundry facilities), and dressing room.

  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Drop-In Engineering Complex Tours: Guests will join current students and faculty for major-specific tours of our Engineering Complex, including labs, study spaces and classrooms.

  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
  • 1:45 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Computing Building Drop-in Tours: Tour the Reynolds Buildling with a current Computing student and visit a typical classroom, computer lab and communal study spaces. 

  • 2:00 p.m.  3:00 p.m.

Lang School of Business and Economics Open House: Drop-in for an open house of Macdonald Hall, the home of business students at the University of Guelph. Talk to Commerce students from a variety of majors, tour the facilities, classrooms and learn more about the supports available to students at Lang.

  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (soft open at 10:30 a.m.)

Science Open House:

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (soft open at 11:00 a.m.)

  • Bovey Greenhouse: Drop-in to learn more about Plant Science and Agriculture
  • Food Science Building: Guided Tours for Food Science and Food Industry Management
  • Summerlee Science Complex: Drop-in to see labs and speak with faculty and students from a variety of science programs
  • MacNaughton Building, Room 113: Drop-in to learn all about Physics. Tours of the Physics labs will also be available. 

Equine Management Tours:  

  • 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (tours departs every 30 minutes with the last tour leaving at 3 p.m.)

Parking

Parking is available in P14 and P15. Parking is free on weekends. Additional information about parking can be found in your registration confirmation email.
