To attend Campus Day 2017, please review the schedule below and then follow the steps on the registration page!

Come spend the day with us! We have organized tours, information sessions and drop-in opportunities where you can informally speak with students, staff and faculty about our student services and academic programs. Use the options below and schedule as a guide to plan your day with us!

Welcome and Overview of Campus Day (Rozanski Hall)
Have you already been on a campus tour or plan on taking one later in the day? Join us for a brief, 20 minute welcome and overview of the day before you get underway.

Welcome, Overview of Campus Day and 10:30am Campus Tour Departure (W.F. Mitchell Gym - Athletic Centre)
Join us for a brief 20 minute welcome and overview of the day before heading out on a 1 hour guided campus walking tour. Please note if you select this tour you will not be finished in time to attend 11:00am programming. There are two additional opportunities to take a tour later in the day.

Student Services and Academic Resource Fair (University Centre)
Come and get all of your questions answered! Meet with current students, staff and faculty from each of our academic programs, Co-operative Education and Career Services, as well our student service areas including Housing Services, Athletics, Hospitality Services, Student Accessibility Services and many more!
 
10:30am-3:30pm
Residence Drop-in Tours (Various Buildings)
With the help of your campus map and our volunteers, visit one or all of our residences! Student volunteers will be available to show you single, double and triple rooms, as well as apartment style rooms.
 
These are self-directed tours. As you arrive, anytime between 10:30am-3:30pm at each residence, our student volunteers will greet you in the lobby and show you around their residence.
 
1:00pm AND 2:30pm
Guided Campus Walking Tours (Departing from the W.F Mitchell Gym -  Athletic Centre)
University of Guelph student volunteers will take you on a general, 1 hour walking tour of the campus including the Library, lecture halls, the Athletic Centre, dining facilities and much more! Wear your comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing, because the best way to enjoy our campus is by experiencing it as our students do on a daily basis; walking!
 
1:30pm-3:30pm
Athletic Centre Drop-in Tours
Meet outside the Gryphon Centre Arena to go on a tour of the Athletic Centre. Drop by anytime between1:30pm and 3:30pm.

Find out everything you need to know about the degree program you're interested in; from course requirements, to academic opportunities and university learning. Each degree program will offer its own presentation. These are 30 minute sessions.

Guided Studio Art Tours (Zavitz Hall)
Enjoy a 45 minute tour of historic Zavitz Hall, home to Guelph's Studio Art major that includes drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, print-making and extended media labs.

Guided Music Tours (Departing from the MacKinnon Building Lobby, Across from the Library)
Enjoy a 45 minute tour of the Performing Arts Wing of the MacKinnon Building, home to our recital space, the Goldschmidt Room, and the Digital Music facilities in the Alexander Building.  In these spaces, music students explore a variety of contemporary musics (jazz, popular, digital, and classical).

Guided Theatre Studies Tour (Departing from the North End of the MacKinnon Building, George Luscombe Theatre - MacKinnon 101)
Enjoy a 45 minute tour of the Performing Arts Wing of the MacKinnon Building, home to our technical workshops, the George Luscombe Theatre, and historic Massey Hall. In these spaces, theatre students explore aspects of performance, directing, design, playwriting, and technical theatre.

Guided Physics Tours and Information Session (Departing from the MacNaughton Building Foyer)
Meet in the MacNaughton foyer for a 45 minute tour including our Physics Labs and highlights of Physics at Guelph.

Summerlee Science Complex Drop-in Tours (Science Complex)
Discover first-hand our science labs in the Summerlee Science Complex; state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities. As you arrive, any time between 11:30am-1:30pm, our volunteers will greet you in the lobby and send you on your way throughout the building to visit different labs.  Faculty, staff and students from a variety of science majors will also be available to answer your questions.

Guided Food Science Tours (Food Science Building)
Learn more about the processing and development of food products at the Food Science Building. Hosts will be available anytime between 11:30am-1:30pm in Room 128 to answer questions and provide guided tours.

Plant Science and Plant Agriculture Drop-in Tours (Bovey Greenhouse)
Join our Faculty Advisors anytime between 11:30am-1:30pm and tour the greenhouse facilities where students specialize in Plant Science and Crops, Horticulture and Turfgrass Science.

Business Building Drop-in Tours (Macdonald Hall)
Come and experience our brand new business building between 11:00am-1:00pm. Originally built in 1903, the building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art, modern learning complex for business students. Explore the new facility and talk to current B.Comm students.

Guided Engineering Complex Tours (Departing from the Thornbrough Building Atrium)
Current Engineering students will guide you through the newly renovated Engineering Complex, on a 45 minute tour including a showcase of their student space and various labs.

Computer Science Presentations and Student/Faculty Discussions: "Beyond the Code" (Rozanski Hall)
Computing faculty and students will be available for a 60 minute presentation and discussion regarding the Bachelor of Computing program at Guelph specifically what is happening beyond the classroom!

Directions from Toronto

  • Travel on 401 West towards London
  • Take exit 299 toward Brock Road (old Highway 6)
  • Follow Brock road into the City of Guelph as it turns into Gordon Street
  • Follow Gordon Street until you reach Stone Road
  • Turn right onto Stone Road
  • Continue past the first entrance on your left until you reach South Ring Road (at the lights)
  • Turn left onto South Ring Road (entrance to campus)

From Kitchener/London/Windsor

  • Travel on 401 East towards Toronto
  • Take the Highway 6 exit (Hanlon Expressway)
  • Turn right onto Stone Road, follow this up until you reach the intersection at Gordon Street
  • Continue through the intersection, past the first entrance on your left until you reach South Ring Road (at the lights)
  • Turn left onto South Ring Road (entrance to campus)

From Hamilton

  • Travel on 403 East towards Toronto
  • Take the Highway 6 North exit (Brock Road)
  • Follow Brock road into the City of Guelph as it turns into Gordon Street
  • Follow Gordon Street until you reach Stone Road
  • Turn right onto Stone Road
  • Continue past the first entrance on your left until you reach South Ring Road (at the lights)
  • Turn left onto South Ring Road (entrance to campus) 

From the North (Highway 6)

  •  Follow Highway 6 into the City of Guelph as the road turns into Gordon Street
  • Travel on Gordon Street until you reach College Avenue
  • Pass through the intersection of College Avenue and Gordon (the campus is on your left)
  • Continue past the main entrance on your left until you reach the intersection of Stone Road and Gordon
  • Turn left onto Stone Road
  • Continue past the first entrance on your left until you reach South Ring Road (at the lights)
  • Turn left onto South Ring Road (entrance to campus)
