Why Mechanical Engineering?

Mechanical engineering is the backbone of making things move in our society. You’ll use design skills to develop processes and systems that improve our environment, technology and quality of life, acting to apply mathematical, scientific and engineering principles to a wide variety of fields.

Students in the Mechanical Engineering MECH program may also be interested in studying Biological Engineering, Computer Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or other majors.
