Study the challenges to healthy growth and development of children and youth from infancy through adolescence in the Child, Youth and Family major. Examine challenges like behavioural and learning difficulties, parent-child/youth conflicts, emotional disturbances and substance abuse. Gain work experience in the field. Play a pivotal role in Canada’s broad range of available child and youth services after graduation. Students can apply for membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).

Prepares students for admission to Teacher Education programs. Nipissing University reserves space for qualified graduates in their Primary/Junior Bachelor of Education Program.
