French Studies

French Studies at Guelph is an intellectual and cultural adventure. Whether you are a beginner and have never studied French before or you wish to build on your existing French skills, the School of Languages and Literatures will give you the cultural and linguistic foundation needed to fully participate in our global community. You'll discuss the most recent philosophical and political trends in France and Quebec in small seminars and conversations with faculty members. Rewarding opportunities to expand your language and cultural horizons are abundantly available by living in La Maison Française and participating in French activities such as concerts and movies. In your third year, you have the chance to study in Nice, France, or to take part in a program that will give you teaching experience in France or Quebec.

You might also be interested in studying European Studies; Hispanic Studies; History; Philosophy; or select from our other majors
