An articulation agreement between Fanshawe College and the University of Guelph provides up to five places per year for graduates of the Landscape Design Ontario College Advanced Diploma who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of B (70.00%). The actual number applicants accepted will be based on individual qualifications and existing BLA class size. All applicants are required to submit a portfolio and a Background Information Form. Successful applicants will receive up to 10.0 transfer credits through this articulation agreement. 

Please submit your Background Information Form (BIF)  according to the submission instructions on the form, and send your portfolio digitally to blapc@uoguelph.ca by March 1st.

Portfolio requirements:

  • include 10-20 examples of previous design work or projects that demonstrate the range of your creative abilities (e.g. drawings, photographs, artwork, musical compositions, woodworking, written work, photographs, construction projects or engineering designs).
  • brief description of each creative piece
  • include table of contents
  • exercise creativity in the overall design and organization 
  • one digital file (Adobe pdf).  Do not include links to sites or other digital portfolios.
  • maximum file of 20 MB

Submission instructions:

  • Please save your digital portfolio as one file (Adobe pdf) using the following naming convention:  Last name_First name_BLA_portfolio).
  • Submit as an attachment to the following e-mail addresses by March 1: blapc@uoguelph.ca
  • Include your full name, Guelph Student ID and previous/current program name and institution.
